This website is run by Holding On Letting Go. We are a charity that supports children and young people in Kent. This area is for people aged 6-16 years, but anyone is welcome to explore it. However on these pages, we will only put messages up from young people.
When someone important dies, such as a parent, grandparent, brother or sister, friend or pet, you may have to cope with unfamiliar feelings such as shock, fear, anger and sadness. It is normal when you are grieving to have many feelings and it is important for you to be able to share these feelings with people who understand and can support you.
Our message board and gallery help you to see how other people have coped with their thoughts and feelings when someone close to them has died. To read these or to share your own stories, pictures and memories please follow the links below.
HOLG has a responsibility to make sure that everything that is put on this website is safe. We will read all the messages and written work before we put them online and moderate the Message Board. We might need to change things around to make sure you stay safe. This means we will take out addresses and telephone numbers or anything else that may identify you. This is to protect you from anyone who may want to hurt children or young people.
